Short Circular Walks from the Queens Head

Welcome to Saddington Strolls — a growing collection of short circular walks starting and finishing at the Queens Head. Each route includes a map, a downloadable GPX file, and a clear description to guide you around the countryside and safely back to the pub. Some walks have stiles, some don’t, but all offer fresh air, good views, and a gentle excuse to stretch your legs.

Walk 1: Saddington – Fleckney Figure of Eight

Distance: 4.9 miles

Difficulty: Easy 
A straightforward walk on well‑marked paths with mild gradients and no stiles. Expect fields, quiet lanes, and the occasional curious cow or goat.

Distance: 3.5 miles

Difficulty: Easy–Moderate
Mostly straightforward paths with one stile, a few muddy patches, and a short descent and climb. Suitable for most walkers with a bit of confidence.

Difficulty: Moderate
A longer route with several stiles, gentle climbs, and varied terrain. Mostly easy going, but requires a bit more energy than the shorter strolls.
